Are you determined to adopt a dog? Have you fallen in love with one of our dogs?

Please first check with your family to make sure everyone is happy to get a dog. Do you have enough time for the dog? Does no one suffer from an animal allergy? Once these points have been clarified, contact us!
Before we place a dog, you fill out a self-disclosure form (available for download here as a PDF or request by email), and we always conduct a PRE-INSPECT check. This means that someone from DUO IBIZA will visit you at home, assess the situation, and ensure that the dog will be in good hands. During this appointment, any outstanding questions can be discussed, and we can assess whether the dog is a good fit for you and your family.

Be aware of what it means to adopt a dog from a rescue. Some dogs move into their new home and immediately adapt to the circumstances as if they've never lived anywhere else. Some dogs also need time to adjust. It may be that your dog is unfamiliar with certain things and is afraid of them: cars, stairs, bicycles, household appliances, noises, etc. Give your dog time!

Once everything is sorted out, nothing stands in the way of adoption. We are happy to continue to be there for you even after the adoption.

The general adoption fee is generally used to:

– to cover our basic costs (purchase from the perrera, vaccinations, and veterinary costs)

– to take any sick dogs to the vet and have them treated. These costs are enormous

– to neuter both male and female dogs

– to cover food and accommodation costs

We don't just take in young, sweet, and healthy dogs... no, we also rescue old, frail, and sometimes sick dogs, as well as pregnant female dogs. They are lovingly cared for and nursed back to health in foster homes, always receiving veterinary care. However, for long-term foster dogs, the costs can be enormous.

The adoption fee is therefore a purely mixed calculation of all costs incurred, whether for young or old, healthy or sick dogs.

At the time of adoption, you will receive a dog that is fully vaccinated and microchipped, has an EU vaccination certificate, and has been neutered and tested for Mediterranean diseases at the appropriate age. Transport costs from Spain to the destination country vary depending on the airline. The adoption fee is €420 (plus flight costs).

We hope you now better understand why we are always in desperate need of donations and sponsorships.
