He came to us some time ago, together with Scooby. Unfortunately, we don’t know much about his past life. However, what we do know makes us particularly sad: Bruno lived on a chain—a small piece of it was still attached to his neck when an animal rescuer found him. It is all the more wonderful, then, to see what a people-oriented and spirited dog he truly is. ❤️ Bruno is a friendly, affectionate, and sociable male dog who loves being close to his humans. He isn’t the type of dog who just wants to exist alongside his owner; Bruno wants to be part of the family, experience things, and discover the world together with his person. He is an active dog who enjoys lovely walks and loves being out and about. He walks beautifully on the leash, making him a fantastic companion for shared adventures. Bruno generally gets along well with other dogs; he loves to play and thoroughly enjoys canine company. At the same time, he has a mind of his own and can act somewhat more confidently or dominantly during encounters if he already knows the other dogs. With dogs he doesn't know, however, we have observed him behaving rather shyly. Having a confident dog with a strong character by his side would be great for him—though Bruno would also be happy to have a home all to himself with a person who gives him the attention and engagement he deserves.

He does have a prey drive, but it is predictable and manageable, making it easy to adjust to his needs.
He is friendly and open with us, and he is also easygoing when meeting visitors. He is equally open and friendly toward children.

Bruno also pleasantly surprised us at the vet: he walks in without fuss and waits calmly for his turn—there is no drama. His ehrlichiosis was successfully treated, and he tolerated the medication very well; the vet visits themselves were not an issue for him at all.
